GOURMAND ACCORD
I was wearing Riso and on paper, Grano seemed similar, so I figured I’d try it alongside it. They are definitely different, despite both having green, fresh, vetiver sides and a pastry-esque quality.
Whereas Riso stays pretty neutral on the sweet rice side, Grano is more unique I think. It has the bready quality, but this is not a gourmand to me (it is listed as such by the brand).
Strong scents of (wet) asphalt and earth and moss persist through the opening and they are almost as defining to my nose than the bread-like quality, which isn’t all that sweetened either. More like a regular loaf of brown bread, perhaps with some seeds or nuts on it.
Very unique, but not a cozy, comforting gourmand, not a sweet pastry to my nose. Instead, a more artistic, concept driven scent.
