Gold Noir is often compared to Armani Ambre Eccentrico, which I haven’t smelled in almost 3 years. What Gold Noir absolutely does smell like to me is Kilian Black Phantom, mixed with MFK Grand Soir in the drydown.

Which is not a bad thing, considering this costs about €70 and it performs really well on my skin. You get that chewy gourmand element from Black Phantom, maybe a tad less harsh in the opening. As it dries I get more of the same amber scent from Grand Soir. I wouldn’t be surprised if a 50/50 blend would smell spot on.
