Glorious is one of the most accessible Boadicea releases, both in price and in scent profile.
This is a fruity scent, with raspberry and pineapple standing out. And no, it doesn’t smell like Aventus. It does smell like a refined take of what you would find in your average designer fruity fragrances.
To me, definitely a pleasant scent, but not one that is the greatest representation of what Boadicea has to offer. Of course, at €250/100ml, there’s nothing wrong with it (compared to, for example, an Aventus), but you won’t find the best that this house to offer here in terms of eccentricity, but I think also not in terms of quality or performance.
It smells fine, but I don’t find the prominent fruits or florals here to be outstanding. It gets pretty sweet and while not cloying, I do wish it was a bit brighter and livelier; with notes standing out from each other more than they do here. There’s quite a bit of warmth underneath the fruitiness here, making it a year round option.
Again, one of the more affordable Boadicea, so perhaps it’s to be expected, but they do have other offerings under €300 that feel more elevated to me for sure (I tested it alongside Harmonious for example, which I would recommend easier). I think Glorious is particularly interesting for fans of the house, who own several already and want to add a mass appealing, no-brainer type of fragrance to their Boadicea collection.
