I was intrigued to try this one, as I’d heard good things. Gilded has a big load of cardamom up top and it’s remarkably citrussy given its notes.

There is a rather dense, linear force or power underneath the bright opening. There is sugar cinnamon, woods and a lot of sweet resins. It creates a pungent sweet sandstorm blasting through the cardamom and citrus. It’s really good, although not my usual style of fragrance.

The overall tone remains yellow/lightgreen to me with a floral, spicy tinge. The immortelle comes across a bit like a (celery) salt and pepper in the drydown.
