‘Sex and The Sea goes to Polynesia. Gauguin is the source of inspiration for this perfume. The French painter is famous for his lascivious paintings of Polynesian women, sensual and exotic, made of colors and forms that are not realistic but evocative. My intention was to recreate his decadent, mysterious and at times sacral sensuality, and to draw inspiration from his colors and forms to create harmonies that are not realistic but magical and imaginative. On a base inspired by Sex and The Sea, but softened and expanded, I crafted an accord of tropical white flowers, dominated by the Tiaré flower. Combined with the coconut note and the velvety softness of the base, this accord transforms into Monoï. Not declared in the pyramid, the richness of the flower is supported by ylang-ylang, tuberose and geranium.’ – Francesca Bianchi
