Based on the notes, I figured that this would be the most intriguing or at least, less predictable fragrance in the collection and I that seems to ring true after testing. Frosted Flame is more on the abstract, traditional side than the others in my opinion, which is something that I can appreciate.
In the first minutes I get a healthy sense of spices. Warm spices, with a subtle hit of custardy sweetness. I also get a sense of leather, which I wouldn’t have guessed from the notes.
This is especially true later in the wear, as the dry qualities, spices and woody leather vibe make for a more retro, classy feeling. I could’ve guessed some (mild) cumin-saffron leather in this, but that’s just my perception.
Presumbably also the one that leans most traditionally masculine of the group, although I’d definitely consider all 4 releases at the time of writing as undeniably unisex.
As said, on the abstract side, so harder to put into words. Whereas Roots Of Kente is a ‘safe bet’ for a popular, sweet choice, I think Frosted Flame is the artistic stand-out from the brand so far for me, by quite a margin.
