Fleur de Lune is what I would describe as a candied white floral. You’re instantly hit with mostly the tuberose, but it’s very bright, very sparkling and very sweet. A lot of vanilla and a peachy fruitiness are clear from the start with the white florals adding a lot of kick to the opening.
Within minutes it goes powdery. I still get the candy vibe from it; like the powdery candy that you can dip sticks in. It’s almost sickly sweet, but somehow isn’t, it fits the composition.
It remains on the floral side with a lot of acidity. Some would even go as far as saying it’s a bit pissy at first, but it becomes a cleaner scent later in the wear. Still, I definitely don’t see this as a youthful perfume, despite its candy-like air, it’s a mature fragrance.
A fragrance that it reminds me of is Francesca Bianchi’s Libertine Neroli.
