I’d briefly smelled Fame In Love in stores and instantly disliked it; wrote it off. To my surprise, when I wore it a week later, I was somewhat amused, at least initially. This is not the style of fragrance for me, but one can’t blame a robot-bottle with a red dress for that. It is exactly, what it looks and sounds like, and if that’s up your alley, Fame In Love offers quite a bit of fun.

Especially when it comes to the fruits. This has that typical watery, sweet, strawberry-kiwi-esque fruitiness to my nose. Not a vanillic, gourmand strawberry, but not a true to life or acidic (or greener) one either. It wears more like a drink with strawberry & other fruits. It’s pretty solid and the fragrance goes all-in on that fruitiness.

I get nothing resembling iris or incense… barely any floral or actual woodiness either. It’s a full-blown fruity scent for most of the wear, that starts of sweet and ends up being way too sweet to wear comfortably. In general, I find it too vibrant, too rich or bold. The scent reminded me a tiny bit of Louis Vuitton Pacific Chill, but compared to that one for example, Fame In Love feels 5x more concentrated. It lacks the watery texture and freshness and ends up smelling like you just spilled a thick sweetened fruit juice on your clothes. A contemporary that felt like it had the same type of boldness to me was Carolina Herrera La Bomba.

Still, this is on par for the expectations I would say and those who seek out Fame In Love in particular, may well end up liking it.
