‘The awe-inspiring heights of Oman, where the mountains pierce the sky with majestic grandeur, OJAR unveils a new masterpiece. EVER LIT is a fragrance forged from transformation—a fusion of raw elements that channels pure, unstoppable energy. It opens with the fresh, mineral brilliance of green apple and sea foam, a crisp, exhilarating rush that awakens the senses. At its heart, smoky frankincense unfurls in contrast with the creamy warmth of sandalwood, grounding the composition in power and presence.’ – Ojar
Ever Lit opens rather strange. I get the sensation of spilled fruit juice and candied ice cream, along with a fresher, aquatic backdrop. It took me a while to adjust to it, but I guess it smells as promised (applejuice & sea water).
There are some greens, neon-colored sharp fruits, but it’s more watery and airy than the full-on juice that I initially perceived it as. Especially after a while, it becomes very ozonic and transparent. On the other hand, the sweetness overtakes in a sugary manner. It reminded me mostly of ambroxan-sugar water and while the combination with some fruitiness and aquatics wears pretty nicely, it does feel a tad out of place for my expectations from an Ojar release.
The base keeps this vibe up, but adds a somewhat harsh woodiness. This is light and subtle enough to not bother me as much as it does in most other amber woody drydowns, but it is my least favorite part of the wear.
Overall; not sure how I feel about this one.
