‘Est. 1856 Eau de Parfum evokes the atmosphere of Burberry’s first store in Basingstoke, Hampshire. An ode to a world of skill and quiet ritual, reimagined in a scent that connects past and present. Each fragrance in the Prorsum Collection is crafted using a new technique inspired by fabric weaving, reflecting our design heritage. Three signature scent notes are woven with a fourth: the raker. Created by perfumer Florian Gallo, Est. 1856’s incense oil and cedarwood oil recall traditional fabric looms, while a leather accord evokes the scent of craftsmanship. A Longjing tea accord – the raker – adds an aromatic lift. Just like the red ‘raker line’ in the House Check, this sharp, vibrant accord creates a distinct, bold energy.’ – Burberry
