‘Erawan is a voyage into the autumn wood with a Thai elephant. A never-ending adventure and discovery.’ – Pissara Umavijani
Erawan was very interesting to me, given it’s green aromatic profile that I usually steer away from. It’s quite different from the rest of the Dusita line that I’ve tried so far.
Aromatic it is, very dry in the opening, but also semi sweet. I found the opening hour surprisingly pleasant. You get this sort of lavender-ish, earthy, rooty vibe, but to my nose it felt like there was chocolate dust on top of it. This reminds me of the effect I also get in In Astra Tistar.
While that vanillic, chocolate dust hangs on, the dry hay-moss vibe becomes stronger as it dries as well. It’s essentially a bale of hay with green hues and vanillic tones.
I love how dry and understated it is. However, this is the first time that I wished a Dusita fragrance was sweeter. If you like greener and hay-like scents though, this could be an intriguing find. Quite a great release; while not a personal favorite, I was surprised to even find this scent profile alluring and I could certainly wear it.
