Eloge Du Vert stood out during my fist ever niche store visits. It grabbed my attention, so I got a sample to give it an extensive wear.

This is still amazing straight from the opening to me. It opens bright and fresh, with a mix of rose and peppers. The note that’s responsible for the attention grabbing is the green pepper. I don’t know other fragrances well that include a green pepper note, but in Eloge Du Vert it’s the star of the show. It’s a natural smelling pepper and a strong scent.

It’s a bit too green for my taste upon spraying, but in the drydown it balances out nicely with the florals. The drydown becomes powdery, giving it a touch of luxury and elegance.

If you like green fragrances, rose or you just want to try out a fragrance with an unusual main note, give this one a shot.
