AMOUAGE
EIDYYA ATTAR
Rose
Saffron
Jasmine
teakwood
Sweet Oud
From what I’ve heard Eidyya was only released in Oman and that’s about all the information I have. Part of the notes (sweet oud and teak) I received from Renaud Salmon (creative director of Amouage).
There are different black and red-boxed batches that may vary as well. It’ss a bit brighter (I would expect citrus in the notes) and more soapy than I’d expected. Funny enough, I swapped Eidyya for Fragrance Du Bois Mutheer and that smelled pretty similar on first impression. Eidyya seems to be a touch darker and heavier (ever so slightly barnyardy) on the oud though, which I definitely prefer in this case. The saffron is also quite pronounced. Otherwise it’s a pretty common, but beautiful floral scent.
