Instantly sweet, fruity rose. Very joyful and playful. The pear really stands out for me. This reminds me of Les Eaux Primordiales Superose a lot, but the texture is more full-bodied in the Ormonde Jayne.

It’s vaguely similar in the sense that it’s ozonic and musky, but whereas the Les Eaux has an ambroxan like sweetness that’s dominant, here there’s more of a fruity sweetness with a more oily rose.

I think this wears beautifully. I’m not sure if I would prefer it over Indus, which is another great fruity floral from Ormonde Jayne, but Damask is up there with my favorites as well. Definitely something that I would like even more on women.
