This fragrance is brighter than I remember it being when I first smelled (both in the older version and not the 2022 EDP).
I get a herbal citrus opening. The citrus is way more pronounced than I remember and I don’t see this mentioned in other reviews per se. Unmistakable to my nose though, almost fizzy. Someone did mention this as ‘the sweet sister of L’Attesa‘ and I indeed get that brightness from L’Attesa here at first.
More citrus than I thought, also more florals. At the same time, it’s has a gourmand tinge, but in an almost invisible/indescribable way. I don’t get the ‘darker’ descriptions of chocolate or even that much honey here. More so a light, sugary and vanillic constant that gets quite creamy. At times it reminds me of the sugary ambroxan. It’s prominent at first, but I don’t think it’s as gourmand as I was lead to believe, just sweet.
While the iris is prominent it is very waxy and lipsticky. Rose is not mentioned, but I get a rosewater-esque and iris combination that’s quite classy. This is the core of this fragrance and it’s a very strong make-up bag scent that I personally enjoy.
Underneath it all, a muskiness arises. I don’t know if I would call it animalic, but it’s not a typical white musk either. It’s going in the plasticy, rubbery direction to my nose. Overtaking the iris eventually.
I can definitely see myself owning a bottle of this one day.
