I’ve worn Carner’s D600 three times and to be honest, I still don’t know how I feel about it.
It’s a powdery iris and cardamom fragrance, that comes off very clean. I mainly get vanilla in this scent, which is pleasant enough, but not too exciting. The vanilla is backed by pepper and a floral, possibly lavender, which isn’t listed, but it could be the jasmine. I don’t pick up on the listed citrus accord a lot. The fragrance is soft, well-rounded, inoffensive and performs well. Yet, I don’t love it…
Sometimes the warm sweetness is at the forefront, and I get a waft that I think smells awesome, but in other moments the cleanliness overpowers and the D600 scent starts to smell more suitable for candles, laundry detergent, lotion or soap. I’ve heard people say this leans very masculine for a unisex fragrance, which I personally don’t agree with at all. It has a bit of a classic cologne vibe at first, which is masculine, but it dries down to a rather feminine, kind of sweet baby powder to my nose, which makes this hard to pull off. It’s interesting, but Carner has better fragrances to offer for me.
