‘Colonia Futura is Acqua di Parma’s declaration of love for nature. A dynamic explosion of wonderfully combined yet individually distinct natural ingredients in a lively and untamed fragrance that connects the Maison’s past, present, and future. A gift of nature containing 99% of Natural Origin Ingredients, transparent in its essence and vibrating with life. Colonia Futura expresses from its opening notes an indomitable and vibrant nature. Its vertical and dynamic structure resonates with the first subtle accents of vetiver enveloped in a bright citrus explosion of Bergamot, lemon and grapefruit, enhanced by the spicy nuances of pink pepper. The vibrant beginning becomes softer in the heart of the fragrance, revealing its aromatic spirit that characterises this Eau de Cologne, in a fantastic duet between the fresh reassuring nuance of lavender and the almost tactile aroma of clary sage. This harmony finds completion in the base with vetiver, providing persistency to the composition. A gift of nature, the essence of vitality.’ – Acqua Di Parma
Colonia Futura is quite nice. The Colonia that I’m most familar with is Colonia Essenza and I found Futura a bit less sharp and a tad sweeter as it dries.
Still having the signature beautiful citrus notes that Acqua Di Parma does really well. No detergent lemon here, but a very nice citrus accord, with vibrancy and a bit of a sparkling texture. As mentioned, a bit less sharp to me here.
This feels more fougere like, with a sweetness and slightly earthiness (albeit relatively clean vetiver). Masculine leaning and easy going. Classy, but not overly mature. I think I’d wear this more casually than I did Colognia Essenza.
