‘Eau de Toilette. Produced in collaboration with Vaquera and Comme des Garçons Parfums. A new scent that feels like a perfume you once knew, then forgot, and have just stumbled upon in the back of a clearance shelf. Inspired by the scent of perfume ads in 90s fashion magazines, the scent of freshly dried hair after a shower, the scent of your childhood car’s air conditioning, and the metallic sparkle of a summer fountain—woven with mystery, nostalgia—Classique Perdu invites you to rediscover a fragrance that feels both familiar and forgotten, an iconic scent lost and found again.’ – DoverStreetMarket

This one opens very sharp, bordering on unpleasant. Quite green, in a fresh cut grass, mixed with retro, neon-green cleaning product (bleachy). Also, aloe vera?
After a while, it becomes more mundane, which is a good thing in this case. I get hints of classic men’s aftershaves, peppery, metallic, green. I definitely feel the 90’s vibe as was intented here, but it’s not something that translates into pleasant nostalgia to me in this case.
Definitely not my style of fragrance, but (as is often the case with CDG) a fun concept.
