Headspace has been one of my favorite emerging brands, with Santal as a stand-out from the ones that I’d reviewed prior to this. The brand sent over a discovery set of the Extraits & samples of later additions Cedre & Rose to try as well.

Champaca opens interestingly, but within minutes, this one became a miss for me.

Bubblegummy with some fruitiness up top. Initially, a bit more liquid, syrupy. I was reminded of osmanthus, but a tad warmer and sweeter. However, it turns tart and dry quickly.

The florals are a bit nicer here than in your average designer, but ultimately, it has a strong ‘tart fruity-floral bubblegum’ designer vibe. This could’ve been a (good) flanker to YSL Libre in my opinion. Not up my alley and not what I would be looking for in a collection like this at all; but probably a nice rendition if that is your speed though.
