‘Banana Rush opens with a delicious blend of ripe Banana and Maple Syrup, leading into a lush, tropical heart of Creamy Coconut and Frangipani flower. The base structure is smooth and addictive, with a rich Vanilla and a velvety Sandalwood unfolding a warm, sensual and playful trail (…) Banana Rush blends the softness of the Banana with the depth of Maple Syrup and Vanilla, turning the famous fruit into something more sensual and sophisticated.’ – Juliette Has A Gun

BANANA RUSH (2026) • JULIETTE HAS A GUN 🔺, ScentAdvice

Banana Rush seems like a poorly executed take on the banana trend, but perhaps therefore, a more wearable one, as banana in perfumery has mostly been a miss.

The focus here seems to be more on the other gourmand aspects. I find it to be nutty and roasted. Closer to chocolate, coffee and the listed coconut, than banana. That said, the banana is there for a while, but barely noticeable; it’s overpowered and I think it makes for a better fragrance, albeit one that doesn’t deliver on its premise.

As it dries down, the fragrance becomes more creamy, lactonic. Instead of the roasted quality of the opening, it becomes like an overly sweet desert that frankly borders on being nauseating to me.

Better than Miami Shake, but with Banana Rush Juliette Has a Gun upholds their reputation for being one of the least accomplished niche brands currently on the market for my taste.
