Assan 2023 or Assan II is a reformulation of Assan (2020), which I haven’t smelled.

This is an intriguing mix of fresh, aquatic style notes and warmer, mossy backdrop. As someone who’s not a fan of aquatics, neroli or lavender per se, this was a pretty positive wearing experience still.

I find this very mossy, green, pretty warm. The combination of slightly sweet jasmine and moss reminds me of my vintage Miss Dior EDT a bit. I would say there’s a daring, almost animalic tinge here, likely from the neroli. Think of the Francesca Bianchi Libertine Neroli vibe. It does stay brighter and more airy than the often more muddy/fuzzy and oily vintages, but it’s a nice modern take.
