‘THE GLOW AND RADIANT EFFECT OF A MULTI-COLORED FLOWER BOUQUET.
Florabloom is a cheerful, multicolored explosion of rainbow flowers in a bouquet whose heart radiates with true-to-life tuberose. Surrounding dazzling white tuberose, accords of rose, iris and violet come together against a mossy background to reveal sunny and bright creamy facets. Inspired by a rare natural phenomenon known as a super bloom, this creation is reminiscent of the multicolored carpets of desert flowers that come to life so spectacularly after heavy rainfall.’
A RAINBOW BOUQUET
Delicate Centifolia roses from Grasse merge with the sunny sensuality of white flowers and the powdery, intense blue tones of violet and iris accord to reveal a wonderfully soft and fresh scent.
BLINDING TUBEROSE
This exclusive blend of bold tuberose is made from a vegetable butter “enfleurage” pomade from Grasse, a tuberose absolute and a strikingly realistic CO₂ extraction of Indian tuberose. These white tuberose flowers are revealed in all their inconspicuous faceted glory along with a fruity mango accord. They shine in this radiant composition and form the heart of the fragrance’s bouquet.’ – Guerlain
This was one of those releases where the brand’s description and promise and the end-result are far apart for me. I was expecting a ‘strikingly realistic’ tuberose and quality rose and iris, a mossy background. In reality, this is yet another overly sweet floral that sees Guerlain following trends instead of setting them. Nothing about this fragrance feels ‘niche’ or interesting. It’s pleasant, but not exciting.
Floral, yes, but nondescript, very women’s-designer. Especially as the sweetness takes over almost instantly. More creamy, than powdery, in a sun tan lotion direction. None of the promised floral scents stand out particularly much to me; in tone it’s more white flower than rose, but they are generic. This is not a floral bouquet; it’s too sweet, too creamy. Even the fruitiness with the ‘mango accord’ is almost fully lost on my skin. No bright citrus notes or acidity to be found. It’s sun-tan lotion first and safe, mainstream white florals second with a lot of marketing that feels completely out of place.
