THOUGHTS

Ambition is the first offering from Aristic Parfums. It’s a mass appealing and sweet fragrance with a little twist.

That twist being the fig and coconut coming through pretty strongly. The base here is full of vanillic and tonka facets, with some freshness up top, but not enough to hold the sweetness down; for my personal taste it’s a bit cloying. Similar in style to what you’ll find in many popular sweet designer men’s releases.

The creamy fig/coconut combination is what stands out and it’s the best part of Ambition for me. It adds something different and it works well with the sweetness. This could be like a gourmand flanker to Jean-Paul Gaultier Le Beau.
