ALIEN GODDESS SUPRA FLORAL (2023) • MUGLER🔺, ScentAdvice

I have to preface this by saying that I’m not all that familiar with the Alien Goddess line, so I won’t be making any comparison to the others from the line. However, here are my thoughts on the Supra Florale flanker.

This instantly reminded me of Viktor & Rolf Good Fortune when I sprayed it on, albeit a bit brighter and fruitier. A pretty nice white floral initially, but with a syrupy sweety fruity hint. The fruits are nondescript to me, like some random mixed fruit juice or syrup and I can’t say that it smells good at all to me.

Actually, the same goes for the florals after a while. I’ve gotten used to jasmine or tuberose or pretty much any white floral in big designer releases smelling quite nondescript and unimpressive to me and that’s the case here too. While opening quite nice, after a while this smells like potpourri to me. More youthful than Good Fortune, as it’s less herbal and cloyingly sweet.

The best thing about this fragrance is the texture as it dries down. It becomes a little bit creamy, more in the direction of a sun tan lotion and so does the scent. I read from others that coconut and vanilla are taken out of the notes vs. previous renditions, but indeed, they still seem to be here. Making for a less original, but in my opinion, vastly better scent than the fruity/floral combination that it opened with. However, there remains an astringent brighter tone that I don’t love.

Not bad overall, but something about it didn’t sit well with me. Not a fragrance I’m impressed with or would recommend.
