I thought Al Sahra was a really cool release. It takes the ever so slightly sweetened florals (violet, lily and labdanum) and adds an interesting metallic opening. It lists mineral notes and salt, but to me, it comes across as dry, airy and metallic.
The base in stark contrast feels warmer, but still dry and powdery. It has a prominent incense and wood, but also cinnamon. It comes across like a softened version of smoky sawdust; no rough edges. It’s an interesting juxtaposition with a warm smooth base and chilled top floral notes.
Performance overall seems to be on the light side, a bit ozonic, but it’s not your average freshie or bright floral.
