The original Acqua Di Gio was my most worn scent alongside Armani Code for over a decade, but I grew tired of that. After the many online recommendations, I bought Profumo in hopes to rekindle the original love, but it never really worked out for me.
That being said, Acqua Di Gio Profumo is a solid fragrance, especially if you’re into designers and/or have a small collection. It’s often lauded for it’s versatility and that is indeed where it shines. It has the freshness and ‘Summery’ vibe from Acqua Di Gio EDT, but mixed with more of a body to make it suitable for evenings and colder weather.
The scent is definitely reminiscent of the original. What I do not enjoy about Profumo is that I get a hint of dirty water or wet dog, that I’ve always smelled in it and it ruined the experience for me, so I ended up giving my bottle away rather soon after I bought it.
