Recently I shared most of the beauty and skincare products that I have at home in my routine. Today, I’m zooming in on some of the most used products, that I would always repurchase (until I find something to replace them or, in some cases, win a lottery).
CLINIQUE DRAMATICALLY DIFFERENT MOISTURIZING LOTION
For something I use as often as a moisturizer, a decent price and ease-of-use take priority. Clinique Dramatically Different in 125ml comes with the pump, which I prefer and its easier on the wallet than some of the moisturizers I would otherwise go for (Clarins would likely by a go-to if money was no object). I prefer the lotion variant of the Clinique, but the others are fine too.
LA ROCHE POSAY ANTHELIOS
After trying at least a dozen recommended SPF’s, like Drunk Elephant (too thick for me), Dr. Dennis Gross (perfect, but too expensive), Paula’s Choice etc. I landed on good ‘ol La Roche Posay Anthelios Invisible Fluid (either 30 or 50 SPF) as my daily SPF. Always keep one everywhere; at home, in the car, at the office.
SUNDAY RILEY LUNA SLEEPING NIGHT OIL
I have a selection of retinol-related products of varying strengths. I’ll use some occasionally, but my main pick remains Sunday Riley Luna. One of the more easy-going ones that I never had any issues or dry skin with. Mostly, I just enjoy how it smells and wears. It leaves an oily barrier over the skin that I feel until I fall asleep; some people prefer otherwise, but for my night routine I prefer feeling/knowing that I’m wearing something.
CLINIQUE MOISTURE SURGE LIP
The amount of times I use a product for my lips is nearing OCD-levels, so I had to put two picks on the list. The Clinique Moisture Surge is a bit more shiny and thick, so it’s the one I mostly use at home or at night. It’s a gel you have to squeeze out, so application can be a bit fickle.
ANNEMARIE BORLIND FOR LIPS
Regular lip balm sticks are always on me or near me 24/7. My prefered choice that doesn’t cost too much would probably be Annemarie Borlind’s For Lips (which I prefer over her SPF variant). I usually also have a Blistex MedPlus near.
ANNEMARIE BORLIND HYALURIC EYE PADS
Speaking of Annemarie Borlind; the brand has the best eye pads that I’ve ever tried. Super thin, they stick to your skin well, so you can just go about your business in the minutes you wear them. They give an instantly firmer and more awake feeling after using them.
CAPTAIN FAWCETT MAHARAJAH BEARD OIL
Beard oils are a daily (once or twice) category and my overall favorite beard oil so far is Maharajah. I’ve not been too impressed with most of the Captain Fawcett scents, and they are quite expensive, but their feel and application is great, so I was happy to find one that I absolute adore the scent of in Maharajah. My second favorite beard oil would be The Groomed Man Co’s Cool Cola, but I wish that had a pipette applicator as well.
FOREO MANUKA HONEY MASK
There are few things that smell as nice as a good honey. An occasional mask can feel very refreshing and while Foreo’s Manuka Honey would not be my first pick for a warm summer day (due to its sweetness), for most days, it’s the most cozy smelling mask, that feels great. It’s very liquid and gel-like compared to most other masks.
THE ORDINARY AHA 30% + BHA 2% PEEL
The red devil. Aside from the stench that this one produces, it’s a wonderful product. One of the only beauty products where it seems instant results are guaranteed. A more lively, glowy skin in the first 24-48 hours after using this peeling solution have been remarked on multiple times since I’ve started using it.
Vichy Dercos Shampoo
Whether against dandruff or not & for both head and my beard, this Vichy line of shampoo is the best I’ve encountered. It feels refreshing and makes for the softest hair after use.
